You may have heard of Edie Brickell before, but chances are just as likely that you haven't.
I've been a big fan since aged 18 when I first heard her and bought her first album "Shooting Rubberbands at the Moon"; she later went on to marry Paul Simon, have children and has become a hugely successful singer/ songwriter in her own right.
Edie is regarded by many as a well-kept secret. She has a talent that is understated yet exceptional. I have been listening to this song on YouTube many times in succession since I discovered it a couple of weeks ago. There's so much in her lyrics it's often hard to take them all in in one listening; this has been true for many of her songs. But I'm going to post "Once in a Blue Moon" here for those of you who like understated genius plus a good tune and voice to boot : )
