It's not very often that I write on here about non-raw things ; ) but today I'll make an exception and hopefully you'll appreciate that I do!

Mobile Phone Masts - Are YOU Living Near One?

Yesterday I was told about a useful web site which will tell you where your nearest mobile phone mast is.

Now, before I share the link with you, I really feel the need to share my views on this. You see, mobile phones really do worry me - and actually, they always have done. Not simply because common sense tells me that they can't be good for you (not to mention the very clear memory I have of a photo that appeared on the front of a national daily many years ago... it showed a big black circle around a woman's ear inside her skull - she died from a brain tumour or the like, having used a mobile day in day out for years; I've never forgotten it), but also because I personally get a really sore head and temporarily odd vision almost as soon as I make or take a call on mine. And yes, it is one of the apparently low frequency phones, but it doesn't seem to make any difference.

I resisted having a mobile for a very long time; in many ways I wish I had kept resisting, but we do know how handy they are and eventually I fell prey. Still, I find myself now making a big effort to avoid taking calls, and when I do I hold the phone as far away from my head as possible - quite a strange sight, but that's not really my main concern! So I prefer to text - holding the phone to my ear is simply too painful. When I mention this to people, even raw food friends, they say they don't feel anything... but I know I'm not imagining it!

Anyway, that's enough of my own take on the subject. I think it's really important for you to know if there's a mast near you as electromagnetic 'poisoning' is on the increase and it's easy to see why. I'm not usually a worrier or a pessimist, but I really do find myself worrying big time about the future of us as a species (the cell-using species), especially the children who are walking around using these things like toys. I genuinely think that there's going to be some massive problem that is simply too far gone to do anything about in the next couple of decades. Only time will tell...

Unfortunately, just to make matters worse, I have just discovered that there's one just down the road from me, which is particularly annoying as I moved out here less than a year ago precisely to avoid things like that - not that you can see it from the road, so I am wondering where on earth it can be? I am now on a mission! Rarely will you hear me gripe, but I really have a problem with these things, especially with the lack of say we have about them and where they go.
