Big News and 1-2-1 Kick-Start Coaching Offer

There’s something about heading towards the end of a year that I find… completely scintillating! Yes, that’s definitely the word. I’m not sure if it’s the fact that when you add together Christmas AND New Year and combine all the related pre- post- and "somewhere in the middle" fun and festivities that the result is something really rather special, or whether it’s as simple as getting just completely wired-up with child-like trepidation at what the next year will bring. But what I can tell you is that I am so excited I am almost beside myself!

Why???

Well, next year I am taking my big leap, also known as my big “gulp” – at least this is what it has been formerly referred to earlier in the year in some blog postings when I didn’t give the details away! From 1st January 2007 my life is changing – a lot. I am going to be working on The Raw Food Coach business full time, which means speaking, writing and teaching all over the place (!) with just a tiny bit of Fresh Network remaining in the mix, because the time has come for me to stop holding myself back and just fly.

Gabriella Goddard's Gulp! Virtual Book Tour

Regular readers of my blog may recall how a couple of months ago I purchased a book called "Gulp!" by Gabriella Goddard. I explained how I had worked with Gabriella a year previously when I was a client of hers seeking to brand myself as "The Raw Food Coach" - but I wanted to do it right. So it's largely thanks to Gabriella that the look and feel of TRFC that you see today (and that's finally going live on my web site this weekend) exists, as she was brilliant at encouraging me to find my own authentic style and be 100% me through my brand. Yes it did mean binning a £1000 logo, but hey! Needless to say I'm very grateful for that advice as I now have a brand that is completely me, that feels very right and others seem to love too!

So after purchasing Gabriella's first book recently, which, incidentally has nothing to do with branding (!), I once again became one of her biggest fans! This time Gabriella's theme of being authentic is running through life itself, encouraging people to go for it with their biggest and boldest hopes, dreams and desires.

And I do have to say it: quite simply this book is brilliant - both in the way it is written and the way it has been all pulled together into a framework that really works! As such it's fantastically useful and an invaluable tool for anyone contemplating making changes in their life - big or small.

So it gives me great pleasure today to welcome Gabriella here to The Raw Food Coach blog at 10:30am, Friday 1st September 2006. This is one of a few stops Gabriella's making on her Gulp! Virtual Book Tour and it really is an honour to have her here with us. So welcome Gabriella :)

And seeing as many raw fooders are familiar with the concept of change - and often more than a little (!), I have decided to interview Gabriella on the ultimate shift - that of living your biggest dreams, so our subject today is "Making your dreams come true - and the consequences if you don’t!".

Thank you so much, everyone, for your support on and off line about my big decision over the past few days. Life has started to pick up pace now that I have made my decision (and announced it) and all the details of how my new life will look are coming together nicely already. Once I move, I do tend to move, and all the signs are saying that I've made the right decision and better things await. Life is unfolding just marvellously!

Sadly, as much as I'd love to, I don't have time to write a lot right now as I have a Raw Food for Beginners Class happening this weekend, and it's all systems go as it's a 2-day event, but I should let you know that if there's anyone reading this who wanted to be able to come on this weekend's course but saw it was sold out, then if you're still free, 2 places have just become available due to a couple not being able to attend at the last minute. My Big Gulp! Part 1 - It All Starts With A Decision

Wow, what an awesome time I am having.

Life is like a big soup – sometimes the surface looks really murky and sludgy pea green, but underneath there’s a whole raft of possibilities; some great, some not-so – it’s all about knowing where you want to go and then paddling your way through or around and away, and refusing to spend time and energy on the sludgy bits! Sometimes easier said than done, but that’s always going to be the long and the short of it.

These past few days have been life-changing, and not in ways I expected, but I’m in awe of it anyway!

First of all, to fill you in… (minus the structure of the past two updates; I am kickin’ back ; )

Life over the past month or so has been pretty “challenging”. I feel fortunate that over the years I have invested sufficient time and energy into personal and spiritual development to know that life is always what you make it, and even though life can be tough sometimes, it never lasts, and often we are the ones prolonging the pain anyway!

So, I found myself a few weeks ago, and more recently, feeling a bit overwhelmed with life. Lots of things happening all at once and a never ending in-tray and a full-to-bursting diary. In fact life got so suffocating and soupy that it took me back to the time – well three times actually - in my 20’s, where I reached what you might term a “crisis point” where I just knew things had to change. Not next year, not in the next 6 months, but today. Action required – now! No more waiting, no more tolerating; just positive heartfelt action without limits – a very fun and exciting concept but pretty scary too!

Well, that was then and this is now. I feel like a bit of a veteran at dramatic life change! No less than five times I’ve completely re-invented my life in the past 14 years, and each time I have gained a new level of love and respect for myself and the possibilities of life, should we choose to ignore the “nay sayer” in us and just go for whatever it is that we desire. I 100% believe that if your heart is calling you and it won’t let up, then your new life is already out there waiting for you.
