Basia Podbereski

I started eating raw for over a year, usually start my day with 1 liter of water then one hour later I would make myself a green smoothie
all was well until 15 days ago i started feeling unwell shivering while having a heat wave in Paris France, fever etc, rushed to the ER,
there seems to have been a form of a boil inside my anal tunnel just 4cm, i had an operation (fisulte anal) done, now with a drain & have to get 2nd operation done end of september, i had no problems with bowel movements since i started raw plus i drink heaps of water & herbal teas, when I mentioned this to the specialist (digestive & anal specialist) he said he had patients with my same symptoms who were either vegetarian & raw food, now I am terrified to make veg smoothies & stick to fruit & veggie salads, could it be the thick sludge that blocks the exits??
i read all your articles & send them to my friends around the world, any input from your behalf would be most helpful!!
warmest regards, from a woman who is in full confusion, basia

Hi Karen. Thanks for the interesting article and questions. I have one for you :)

Who did you reach out to for support at the beginning of your journey ? I ask that because I am wondering who to talk to myself. I do the odd days here and there raw and feel great but haven't yet got to the continuously raw stage. One obvious answer is "Other people doing the same thing in my community" but was wondering if there were other people too who one could go to for support.
Thanks in advance for your answer.

Unbelievably dead (live) on. All of the above and then some, draw the clearest picture of me. Your psychic abilities are certainly the magic of being raw. I started on this journey in July 2008 and felt amazingly powerful and I guess primarily like an outsider. Slowly, I, as a vegan, started with brown rice and then added some lentil soups. I am also Latina so rice and beans were fed to me since birth. After seeing puffy eyes and feeling down, I came back with a new lease and insist on being the outsider. My yearnings for higher learning has led to even higher consciousness and there is no going back. Thank you for explaining me to the last detail. Truly wish I lived in GB since I always read your ads for an assistant and say 'that's my job'. Much obliged. Rei
