Hi Karen, I really enjoy your site and information and recipes. I have just discovered for the first time that I am 'full' to the point of not wanting to eat anymore - the fact that I could eat more than anyone else i know has concerned me- but I could not stop. Mostly raw, so I am not overweight ever, which just made it so comfortable for me to eat huge amounts of food!! But, just lately I did a 21 raw day detox (The Garden Diet)and I was having 5-10 juiced oranges or mandarins or 2-4 grapefruit, for breakfast (instead of 1 juiced orange and a huge plate of fruit!) and whoolah! I just cannot put another thing in! I am satisfied! and I eat normal amounts the rest of the day. I think it is the oranges that have done it and i am thinking maybe it has upped the acid level in my stomach so my digestion is working better. I realise the blood ph still remains alkaline with citrus. Have you any other ideas on this one?? kind regards, barbara

This article is so much right on time for me, just yesterday I was sat eating dinner, and thought, actually, I'm full, but my plate was still half full, so I sat and ate the rest. My "story/excuse" runs along the lines of "I've prepared this food, and it's wrong to waste good food". I might have to wait for next weeks info on how to deal with the emotions before I stop though.
