Karen, I am so glad to have found your blog. I have purchased your 50 recipe cook book and "How to get started with raw foods" and am heading out to the store to get some ink for the printer. It may be in the book but I thought I'd ask you just in case it's not. Is there a difference nutrionally speaking between having a green smoothie or green juice? I know that a large portion of the nutrition has to do with what is put in either. I ask because yesterday I made a green smoothie with and apple, orange, banana, handful of spinach and a handful of lettuce greens. YUMMY! The 2 and 3 year old even loved it. I was very satisfied. This morning I made a smoothie just like what you made a video of only I substituted lettuce for spinach. I do not have the satisfied feeling that I had yesterday.
Thanks. I'm looking forward to frequent visits and eating raw.

Hey Karen! Wow your blog is FANTASTIC! I am so intrigued by your lifestyle and was slightly nervous/embarrassed to post my blog as you'll probably shudder to look at it :-\ But I just wanted to say I love your blog and am so glad that I found it because it's going to be a constant of mine, for sure!!! (PS) Your skin is G.O.R.G.E.O.U.S. and SO RADIANT, which I've heard can be attributed to the Raw Lifestyle! Amazing :) Enjoy your evening!

My husband and I have been drinking green juice first thing in the morning for the last 3 weeks.
I use apples, pears, kale or spinach, and cucumber.
I have noticed that I feel very energetic afterwards.
But the only problem is that I tend to feel nauseous afterwards and it does go away until I drink a smoothie or eat something solid.
Am I doing something wrong?
